Die Young free piano sheet music by Kesha
About the song
"Die Young" is the lead single from American synthpop singer Kesha’s album "Warrior" from 2012, which is her second studio album.
Released in September, 2012 for both RCA and Kemosabe labels, "Die Young" involved a large writing team, composed of Kesha, Benjamin Levin, Lukasz Gottwald, Nate Ruess, Henry Walter, the producing team being formed of Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke.
"Die Young" was criticized for its similarity to Kesha’s other songs, but has received positive reviews as well, since it is also similar to "Good Feeling" by Flo Rida, "Domino" by Jessie J or even Katy Perry’s "Teenage Dream".
The production team aimed to create a "old hippie rock" song, Kesha herself saying that the song is a celebration song, in which she aims to express her youthful spirit.
Being an electropop song, it is similar in composition to her other songs, incorporating elements such as acoustic guitars, uptempo beats, new wave synths and even a drum similar to the glam rock type.
With an addictive beat, "Die Young" has also been called addictive and having a "pop swag", About.com calling it "flawless". In late October, the single has debuted on the US Billboard Pop Songs charts, reaching as high as rank 21. On the Hot 100 the song reached second and made it to the top 3 on the Hot Digital Songs. A double platinum certification by RIAA was give to the song for US sells.
"Die Young" has been performed live at the X Factor Australia and got used in the movie "Neighbors" and on its soundtrack. Also charting top 10 in Australia, Austria, Canada, Hungary, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland and UK, "Die Young" has also been certified Platinum in Canada, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Sweden and three times Platinum in Australia.
