The Sun Always Shines on TV free piano sheet music by A-ha
About the song
"The Sun Always Shines on T.V." is the title of a track by Norwegian group A-ha, featured as the third single from their first album, "Hunting High and Low".
Paul Waaktar-Savoy, the drummer for A-ha, wrote the drum tracks, starting the composition for it.
Getting released in late 1985, it soon became a signature song for the pop genre at that time, being one of their most popular ever. Compared to their first single, "Take On Me", this song only ranked top in UK and Ireland, reaching moderate success internationally.
"The Sun Always Shines on T.V." got to the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, getting ranked amongst the top five in other countries, such as Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and even Norway. Being described as a "sad ballad", the song also features interesting synths and great, innovative guitar work, as well as an "evocative" vocal style.
The music video is innovative as well, featuring animations in a dark forest, two lovers playing their fairytale roles, where one cannot remain in the other’s world. The video also features footage of the band playing in a church, near mannequins.
Performed live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 1998 and featured on their 2003 live album "How Can I Sleep With Your Voice In My Head", the song is available in four versions, as a "Live-Single Edit", a "Live-Album Version", a live feature on their "Scoundrel Days" album and a video version.
A great interesting song for the pop rock genre, "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." got certified Silver in France, Germany, Italy and UK and is now available as a piano sheet down below.
