About Diana Krall
Diana Krall, on her full name Diana Jean Krall, was born on November 16th, 1964.
She is a famous Canadian singer and jazz pianist. he became musically active in 1990 and in 1993 she released her first album, which was titled "Stepping Out". She recorded it along John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton.
After being noticed by the producer Tommy LiPuma, she began the recording for the next studio album, named "Only Trust Your Heart", which was released two years later, in 1995. Her breakthrough album, "All For You: A Dedication To The Nat King Cole Trio" was released the following year. It received a Grammy Awards nomination in 1996 and stayed on the Albums Chart for 70 weeks.
"Love Scenes" was her fourth album and it was released on August 26th, 1997. The jazz album quickly became a success containing song like "Garden In The Rain", "How Deep Is The Ocean (How High Is The Sky)", "I Don't Stand The Ghost Of A Chance With You", "They Can't take That Away From Me", "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me", "That Old Feeling", "All Or Nothing At All", "I Don't Know Enough About You" and others.
In 2000, Krall embarked on a 20 city tour alongside Tonny Bennett. In 2001, she began a worldwide tour that started at the Paris Olympia.
The sixth album was "The Look Of Love" and it was released September 18th, 2001. It featured hit songs like "Cry Me A River", "Maybe You'll Be There", "I Remember You", "The Look Of Love", "Love Letters", "S Wonderful" and others.
One of her songs, "I'll Make It Up As I Go" appeared in the 2001 film "The Score", which features Robert de Niro and Marlon Brando.
"The Girl In The Other Room" was her next album, and it was released in April 2004. Also in 2004, she accompanied Ray Charles for the album "Genius Loves Company".
In 2007, Diana Krall's "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" was featured in a Lexus commercial. She helped Barbra Streisand produce her album "Love Is The Answer", which was produced in 2009.
The singer's most recent album is "Glad Rag Doll", and it was released on October 2nd, 2012.
Some of her achievements include the Order Of British Columbia, which she earned in 2000, being inducted into Canada's Walk Of Fame and also being a honorary member of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
