Quit Playing Games (with My Heart) free piano sheet music by Backstreet Boys
About the song
"Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" is the name of a song by American boy band Backstreet Boys, featured as single number four from their self-titled debut album. Recorded in 1995 in Sweden and released in 1996, the song was released as a single due to the band’s insistence, despite the label’s disapprovement.
With backing vocals by Littrell and Kevin Richardson, "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" has finished the song in a two week period, the original version having Littrell singing both verses. One year later though, it has been modified so that Nick Carter sung the second verse, this version becoming the final one, which was released as the official single.
A 1996 music video directed by Kai Sehr presents the band members singing on an empty basketball court, during night and during rain, with semi-nudity from the singers.
Since the single’s release in 1996, "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" has ranked the top of the Austrian, German and Swiss Singles Charts, as well as the European Hot 100 Singles charts. In 1997, since the US release, the song has ranked second on the Billboard Hot 100, the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream and the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks. A great achievement is the single’s inclusion on the US Billboard Hot 100 decade charts from 1990 to 1999, ranking on place 86.
"Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" has received Gold status by the RIAA in Austria and Poland, Silver in the UK and Platinum in Germany, as well as twice Platinum in the US, where it sold over 2 million copies.
