About Josh Groban

Josh Groban, on his full name Joshua Winslow Groban, was born on February 27th, 1981, in Los Angeles, California.

He is a famous American singer, actor, songwriter and producer. He started being active in music in 1997 when he majored in music theater and took vocal lessons.

He graduated from Los Angeles County High School For The Arts, in 1999. He collaborated with David Foster for several events, as a singer.

He served as a stand-in for Andrea Bocelli at the Grammy Awards of the same year, and started rehearsing with Celine Dion for her song "The Prayer". Also, To Where You Are".

Groban's debut album, with the same name, was launched in November, 2001. It proved to be a great success and it was certified double platinum by the RIAA.

His second album was "Closer", released two years later, and produced by the singer along David Foster.

It was present on Billboard Hot 200 and it went from number 11 to topping the chart.

A popular song was a cover from "You Raise Me Up", which was present in the US Adult Contemporary chart. He was nominated at the Grammy Awards for "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance".

Josh Groban's third album was "Awake", and he released it on November 7th, 2006.

He used three of the tracks, including "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)", for his live album "Live From Abbey Road". The fifth album, "Illuminations", was released in November, 2010. It included singles like "Hidden Away" and "Voce Existe Em Mim".

On February 5th, 2012, Josh Groban released his sixth studio album, "All That Echoes". It sold over 140,000 copies in the first week and debut at number one. In 2014, he began the Summer Symphony Tour.

Groban's achievements include being named the best selling singer of 2007, having sold more than 21 million copies throughout the United States and more than 25 million, up to this day. All of his first four albums have been certified multi platinum.

The multi-skilled artist approached not just the vocal field but also the instrumentation, including percussion, piano and drums.

He is one of the most successful singers of the first decade and continues to grow popular up to this day.
